Dear Lord,

This week we lift up in prayer Pap.  As a man of honor he served our country with other worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country. We thank you, Lord, for the blessing he was to our lives and for his shining example of self-sacrifice and love: his unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage for all of us, and his unwavering love and care for his family and friends. May he now rest in the peace of Christ with his  beloved wife, Ruth, in Heaven for all eternity. Amen.
