Heavenly Father, you have given us the model of life in the Holy Family of Nazareth. Help us, O Loving Father, to make our family another Nazareth where love, peace and joy reign. Teach us to be generous: to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to ask for reward, save that of knowing that we do your will. Amen.

Lord, we lift up William to you as we thank you for the blessing he is to our family.  Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as he is brought up in the faith, that we may teach him to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ.  As the Jewish Sabbath blessing goes, 'May God make you like Ephraim and Menashe'." (Genesis 48:20).  Amen.

Pam

Lord, we offer to you our prayers for Pam.  We thank you for the gift of her presence in our lives.  As a mother and grandmother, please give her the grace to care for those you've sent into her life, to help them develop the special gifts you've given them.  To model for them how to follow their own paths that you've called them to and to bring their loving wisdom to the world. Amen.

Mason

Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of Mason: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as he is brought up in the faith, that we may teach him to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Pap

Dear Lord,

This week we lift up in prayer Pap.  As a man of honor he served our country with other worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country. We pray that you will bless him, Lord, for his unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage, for all of us. Bless him abundantly for the hardships he faced, for the sacrifices he made for their many different contributions to America’s victories over tyranny and oppression.  For all the veterans, men, and women serving our country we respect them, we thank them, we honor them, we are proud of them, and we pray that you will watch over these special people and bless them with peace and happiness.  In Jesus’ name we pray.

Sarah

Lord, we thank you for the precious gift of Sarah in our lives. We know that every good gift comes from You, and that You have given her to us to care for and raise. Help us to release her into Your protection, guidance, and counsel. For us not to live in fear of possible dangers, but in the joy and peace of knowing that You are in control. We rely on You for everything, and this day we trust and release Sarah into Your hands. Amen.

Christine

Lord, we thank you for the presence of Christine in our lives and we lift her up with these intentions to you. May you fill her with an abundance of your grace as she does her best to raise her children in a loving household. We thank you for our own mothers that you have given us, whose love is so precious that it can never be measured, whose patience seems to have no end. May we see your loving hand behind them and guiding them. We pray for those mothers who fear they will run out of love or time, or patience. We ask you to bless them with your own special love. We ask this in Christ's name.
