James

Loving God, you watch over each and every one of your children.  Hear our prayer for James.  Be his constant companion.  Protect him no matter where he goes, and bring him safely and quickly home to those who love him. May we, your sons and daughters, be a witness to him in living out the faith that you've passed down through our parents and mentors, while guiding him to live a life for the love and well being of others.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Loved Ones Who Have Died

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them. May our loved ones, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

August

Lord, we thank you for the precious gift of August in our lives. We know that every good gift comes from You, and that You have given him to us to care for and raise. Help us to release him into Your protection, guidance, and counsel. For us not to live in fear of possible dangers, but in the joy and peace of knowing that You are in control. We rely on You for everything, and this day we trust and release August into Your hands. Amen.

Paul

Lord, we thank you for the love you have poured out upon our family and we thank you for the gift of Paul. Bless him as he lives out his vocation of loving husband and father. Give him the graces he needs this day, and every day, in the workplace and at home. Continue to draw him ever closer to yourself and keep him safe. May his life be a witness to your peace, love, and mercy. Lord, teach us all to be generous; to serve you as you deserve; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to ask for rest; to labor and not to ask for reward, save that of knowing that we do your will. Amen.

Mason

Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of Mason: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as he is brought up in the faith, that we may teach him to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Sarah R.
